Kuuasema, a leading game studio based in Helsinki, is seeking Senior UX/UI Artist to join our dynamic team. With a strong team of almost 50 talented individuals we have established ourselves as a prominent player in the game development industry. Our business is divided between work for hire projects from renowned companies like Supercell, Rovio and Remedy, as well as the development of our own exciting IP, such as Cthulhu Keeper.
We’re looking for a talented UX/UI Artist to join our mobile game development team. In this role, you’ll design intuitive, visually appealing interfaces that enhance the player experience. You’ll collaborate closely with artists, designers, and developers to bring engaging and user-friendly interfaces to life.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement game UI elements such as popups, menus, buttons, HUDs, and icons.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize user flows.
- Ensure consistency of art style and usability across all screens and devices.
- Prepare assets to further integration within Animate
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design in mobile games.
- Strong portfolio showcasing game UI and visual design skills.
- Proficiency with design tools (Photoshop, Figma, etc.).
- Understanding of user-centered design and mobile interaction patterns.
- Passion for games
Nice to have
- Experience with UI animation and a strong interest in learning UI animation implementation in-engine
- Experience working with Live Ops content, such as seasonal events or limited-time features
- Familiarity with different game engines and their UI workflows
- Experience with casual or free-to-play mobile games
- Basic knowledge of 3D tools or VFX for UI
